A couple with poor sperm quality will finally hear the laughter of their child filling their home. THE Sperm DONATION PROCESS
Online Application
Start by filling out a quick, confidential online application to determine if you meet our initial qualifications. We look for healthy, high-caliber candidates who meet our strict donor criteria. Height, education, and overall family health are major factors when we are selecting our sperm donors.
Pre-Screening & Psych/Genetic Review
If you pass the initial application, our team will conduct a comprehensive pre-screening, including a review of your medical history, lifestyle, and genetic background to ensure you meet our elite standards. We will have you meet with a licensed psychologist and a genetic counselor to ensure you fall within the ASRM guidelines to donate.
In-Person Medical & Semen Analysis
As a potential sperm donor, you’ll begin by visiting one of our trusted partner clinics for a semen analysis to evaluate key factors like sperm count, motility, and morphology. You’ll also undergo a comprehensive medical screening, including infectious disease testing. These assessments help ensure your sperm meets the highest standards—giving you the opportunity to play a vital role in helping build a family.
Official Selection & Agreement
Once accepted into Elevate Baby’s donor program, you’ll sign a donor agreement that outlines expectations and legal terms. Together, we’ll decide how many families you’re open to helping and finalize your compensation. We cap the number of families per donor—but whether you want to help one or a few, it’s completely up to you.
Donation & Collection Process
Once accepted, you’ll begin your donation cycle with regular visits to one of our partner clinics. You’ll follow abstinence guidelines—typically 4–5 days before each deposit—and avoid smoking and alcohol in the weeks leading up. (FYI: smoking is a dealbreaker for donors.)
Compensation & Ongoing Support
We’re not a sperm bank—we work with select donors and offer higher compensation in return. Our Elevate case managers handle all coordination, travel, and communication with the IVF clinic, so you won’t have any out-of-pocket expenses. Expect full support, strict confidentiality, and a seamless experience from start to finish.
Post-Quarantine Bloodwork
Six months after your final donation, you’ll return for mandatory post-quarantine bloodwork to confirm your health status before any samples are released for use.

Anonymous versus known donations
One of the biggest decisions you’ll make as a sperm donor is whether you want to remain anonymous or be open to connection with the families who receive your donation. At Elevate Baby, we respect that this is your choice, and we’re here to ensure your preferences are honored every step of the way.
Many intended parents prefer an anonymous donor, allowing them to build their family with privacy. However, an increasing number of families are open to some level of connection—whether that means occasional updates, the option for future contact, or even a meeting if both parties agree.
No matter where you stand, we will match you with families who align with your preferences. You can decide now if you want to stay anonymous forever, or if you’d like to leave the door open for potential contact down the line. And here’s something important—many donors who initially choose anonymity later become curious about whether their donation resulted in a child. If that happens, we will do our best to provide updates and information to ensure that your experience is fulfilling and meaningful.
