Application

The first step in becoming an egg donor is filling out our short online questionnaire. This gives us basic information about the donor and helps us get to know them and whether or not this path is right for them.

Vetting

If we accept a donor’s application, we continue the vetting process with more in-depth consultations and in-depth medical histories. . At Elevate we typically perform an anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) test as well.  After collecting photos and videos we are able to create a donor profile that intended parents can view and potentially match with.

Matching 

Every donor and intended parent has different goals for their journeys, and we consider these needs when creating profiles for matching. Qualified egg donors are placed on our elite database and our clients from all over the world register to view donor options.  Once a family has selected a donor profile, then the donor is officially matched! 

Medical Screening

Once a donor has been matched she will attend a comprehensive medical screening at the intended parent’s IVF clinic.  If travel is required, it is completely covered by the intended parents.  At this evaluation, donors can expect bloodwork, ultrasounds, and hormonal testing. A psychological and genetic counseling evaluation is also scheduled at this time.

Retrieval

After medical and legal clearance, the donor begins preparing for retrieval by giving themselves hormone injections, which induce the ovulation of multiple eggs during one cycle. We continue to monitor the donor’s progress, and once the eggs are mature, they are retrieved using sedation to make the procedure as painless as possible.
